Gave up on laptop system image after one final failed attempt. Laptop is now batteryless and waiting for the box to come. Oh well.

Doing better than last night, for the most part. I got all of my files from the dying laptop backed up. Still trying to get a system image, to make coming back a little easier, but that's not going so well.
